Mr. P K Bhardwaj, IPS (Indian Police Service) superannuated as Special Commissioner, Delhi Police in June 2019 after serving for about 32 years. He is presently working as Ombudsman, Electricity, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

He worked in different capacities in different organizations – Cement Corporation of India, ACP Shahdra, SP Linglei, Mizoram, Addl. DCP East District Delhi, DCP East District, DCP South West District, DCP/FRRO, Deputy Director, Immigration, Deputy Director, VIP Security Division, Joint Director in SIB Bhopal and Joint Director (Immigration) ex-Officio Commissioner Immigration.

Before joining IPS he did M.Sc. (Zoology)

MBA with specialization in Marketing/ Personnel from Kurukshetra University. He has also done LLB from Delhi University. He has participated in All India Police Science Congress and presented a paper on “Challenges to policing” .

He was also member of the Committee (BPR&D) to select a model for “Community policing”.

He also did Hostage Negotiations course in USA.

He was appointed as an “Observer” for “Hostage Negotiations Course” at National Police Academy, Hyderabad  organised by Israeli Police officers.

He underwent training at CBI Academy Ghaziabad on Crisis Management given by FBI trainers, USA.

He was awarded Vice President’s Medal for Excellent Conduct, 1988. He was also Awarded Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Republic Day in 2003 and  President Police Medal for Distinguished Service, 2011
