Prof. Kamlesh Gakhar has served in the Institute of Management Studies and Research, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. She is Gold medallist in BA Hons (Economics) and MA (Economics) from Punjab University, Chandigarh. She did her Ph.D from MDU, Rohtak. She has PG teaching and research experience of 45 years. 

Her areas of specialisation are Managerial Economics, Micro Economics, Macro Economics International Economics and Business Environment. Ten students have completed their Ph.D under her guidance . She has presented 40 papers in many national and international conferences. She has got published one book and 52 research papers in National and International Journals She has delivered 30 lectures comprising of 60 modules on Micro Economics in CEC-UGC New Delhi. These lectures have been uploaded on you tube. She has given MOOCS on Principles of Macro Economics 1, comprising of 40 lectures. This course has been running since July 2019. She has been taking online classes of Distance Education of Kurukshetra University in Micro Economics and Growth and Development Economics since last 2 years. 

She has been the Resource Person and Chair Person in many National and international seminars, conferences and refresher and orientation courses. She has been a member of various committees at the university level. She has been invited as Expert in various selection committees. She has also been a member of PEER TEAM of NAAC Bangalore.
